Do you have a Courtesy Car?
In order to make the experience of having your car curated by Auto Curators even more convenient, we offer a courtesy car (subject to availability). Whilst we don’t charge daily for its use, there is a one-off £20.00 administration charge applied for administration and insurance, per period of use.
The use of our courtesy car is subject to some specific terms and conditions. VIEW COURTESY CAR TERMS & CONDITIONS HERE.
Where is the work carried out?
All work is to be carried out at our studio locations. Our studios are the ideal environment in which to carry out our work on your vehicle. It gives us a workspace free from extremes of temperature, interruption from rain, dust, pollen, etc. We can maintain a good working temperature all year round that is necessary for the application of many products, particularly ceramic coatings such as our own Auto Curators Signature Coating, Xpel Fusion, or the Kamikaze Collection. Whilst with us, your car will be kept safely indoors and is fully insured for the time of it’s stay.
When we are installing paint protection film, we need a clean, well-lit environment, free from draughts or sources of airborne dust and dirt. This is vital to achieving the best installation possible, free of contamination.
We use ramps that to safely and securely raise your vehicle. This allows for easy removal of wheels, and completion of work in and around arches, suspension components, and access to otherwise awkward areas of the vehicle, for consistency of a high-quality finish.
We currently have our head office Studio just outside Hook, in north Hampshire, and Nairn, just outside Inverness in the Scotland.
Is my vehicle safely insured while you work on it?
As you would expect, we are fully insured for all aspects of our work and are proud to work with Aviva to achieve this. Our policy covers everything from our public liability obligations, accidental damage caused whilst working on your vehicle, and of course, fully comprehensive cover whilst your vehicle is being moved at home, in our care during collection and delivery, or staying at our Studio.
When choosing a detailing firm to work with, don’t underestimate the importance of insurance. In the unlikely event of damage being caused to your vehicle, the right insurance policy means it is not down to the goodwill of the person doing the work, but a properly underwritten policy that protects you. This includes your vehicle being moved on the driveway, or in and out of the garage.
How do I pay for your detailing services?
Payment can be made by Debit/Credit card, electronic bank transfer or cash. To secure a booking, a deposit of £75+vat is required for each day booked. Usually, a bank transfer is most convenient for this and our bank details will be supplied at the time of booking. We do not accept personal cheques. Where work is to be carried out by one of our carefully chosen partners, we reserve the right to ask for partial or full payment in advance for that aspect of the booking.
On the day the work is completed to your satisfaction, payment of the outstanding balance will be required in full. There are no exceptions to this. This can be made in cash, or using a Visa/MasterCard debit or credit card (unfortunately we cannot accept payment by American Express). If you would like to pay by bank transfer, this must be done in advance.
If the work being carried out is in relation to an issue involving a third party who have agreed to cover costs, for example, a car dealership having washed your car against your instruction and causing damage in the process, or a nearby worksite contaminating your car with a chemical fallout, we would require payment to be made in full by yourself, and it will be your responsibility to reclaim your costs from the third party or insurance company. A VAT invoice will be supplied with a full breakdown of the works carried out.
For your peace of mind, Auto Curators are fully compliant and certified with the PCI DSS regulations relating to card payments, and the safe handling of your personal data.
