FAQs
Isn’t PPF used to protect really expensive cars?
Not at all. Any vehicle owner (or driver) can benefit from the installation of this superior protective product.
Perhaps your vehicle is financed through a PCP or Lease Contract Hire. PPF can help protect your vehicle and eliminate the risk of extra charges when you return it to the dealership.
Or, if you upgrade your car regularly, buying and selling privately. PPF can demonstrate to potential purchasers that you have cared well for your car.
If you regularly leave your car at a train station or airport car park, PPF can help prevent scratches and damage to your car while parked.
I’ve heard that PPF installation is expensive. Isn’t vinyl a cheaper option?
To be honest, this is like comparing apples with oranges. Paint Protection Film and vinyl are two very different products.
Vinyl offers less protection for the paint against abrasion and impact, compared to PPF. It’s also still quite fragile itself and can tear or become damaged itself, if scratched badly. On the other hand, PPF is much thicker and tougher. Finally, the self-healing properties are unique to PPF.
In short, it’s true that PPF is an investment. However, we offer a range of competitively priced coverage options, starting at £395 inc VAT, for partial front end coverage.
How do I know that Auto Curators will do a great job of installation?
We are Xpel PPF factory-trained installers, based in the picturesque village of Rotherwick, Hampshire. Close to Hook & Basingstoke.
Most importantly, all our installations are covered by a ten-year warranty that can be serviced nationwide.
How long will you need my car if I want PPF installed?
This depends on the type of coverage you opt for.
Installation time will depend on the coverage selected. Typically we will need your car for 1-2 days for a front end install, up to 3-4 days for more extensive coverage, or particularly involved installs. We will discuss this with you at the time of booking.
For your convenience, we can offer a courtesy car service during your PPF installation (subject to availability).
